Manhole Watcher

Responsibilities:

• Monitor personnel working inside manholes tanks or confined spaces to ensure safety at all times.
  

• Conduct pre-entry inspections to assess atmospheric conditions ventilation and potential hazards.
  

• Ensure proper use of PPE harnesses gas detectors and lifelines before and during entry.
  

• Maintain constant communication with personnel inside confined spaces using radios hand signals or other approved methods.
  

• Ensure permit-to-work (PTW) and confined space entry procedures are strictly followed.
  

• Monitor air quality using gas detectors for oxygen levels flammable gases and toxic vapors.
  

• Respond immediately to any emergency situation initiating rescue procedures if required.
  

• Keep daily logs and records of confined space activities observations and incidents.
  

• Assist in safety drills toolbox talks and HSE training sessions related to confined space work.
