Fire Watcher

Responsibilities:

• Monitor areas where hot work (welding grinding cutting etc.) is being conducted to prevent fire hazards.
  

• Ensure availability and proper use of firefighting equipment such as extinguishers hoses and blankets.
  

• Conduct pre-work inspections to identify fire hazards and ensure safety measures are in place.
  

• Maintain a constant watch during and after hot work operations to detect and respond to sparks flames or smoke.
  

• Communicate and coordinate with site personnel welders and supervisors regarding fire safety.
  

• Follow permit-to-work (PTW) procedures for hot work activities.
  

• Respond immediately to any fire incidents and activate emergency response protocols.
  

• Maintain records of hot work permits inspections and incidents.
  

• Assist in safety drills toolbox talks and HSE trainings.
  

• Ensure personal PPE compliance and adherence to HSE standards at all times.
