Planning Engineer

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using planning tools Primavera P6 and MS-Project.
• Analyze project timelines identify potential bottlenecks and propose solutions to optimize project execution
• Collaborate with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to gather and incorporate project requirements into schedules
• Seeking to get authorization/approval for the Baseline Schedule (go ahead).
• Monitor project progress update schedules and report on variances to key stakeholders
• Perform resource allocation and optimization to ensure efficient utilization of personnel and equipment
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays
• Prepare and present periodic reports on project status including earned value analysis and key performance indicators
• Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates
• Participate in project meetings and provide insights on schedule-related matters
• Ensure compliance with project deadlines quality standards and contractual obligations
• Maintaining high quality documents and records
• Visit the project site to get actual progress data.
• Conducts project team progress meetings (Internal and External)
• Communicate project schedule and reports in both directions (Internal and External)
• Create a draft extension of time if necessary.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering Construction Management or PMI-SP.
• 2-5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling preferably in construction engineering or infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation techniques
• Expertise in resource allocation and optimization
• Experience in cost estimation and budgeting.
• The ability to draft extension of time (Analysis and Narrative)
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an advantage
