Procurement Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Identify evaluate and develop reliable suppliers and subcontractors.
• Review and analyze technical specifications drawings and project requirements to determine procurement needs.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) purchase orders and tender documents.
• Negotiate pricing payment terms delivery schedules and contractual conditions with suppliers.
• Ensure purchased materials and equipment comply with quality standards and technical specifications.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality delivery or cost.
• Maintain updated records of suppliers contracts and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers engineers and finance teams to align procurement with project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies procedures and ethical standards.
• Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and industry trends.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Civil or related field).
• Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar procurement/purchasing role.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes supply chain management and contract negotiation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
• Excellent communication negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of international sourcing and import/export regulations.
• Certification in Supply Chain/Procurement (e.g. CIPS CPSM) is a plus.
