Side Boom Operator

Job Description:

• Operate the Side boom in a safe and appropriate manner
  
• Operate Side boom effectively and safely utilizing machine specific controls and machine attachments to complete all necessary tasks related to pipeline construction. This includes operating on adverse terrain and/or near other equipment and power lines.
  
• Interpret verbal and non-verbal communication (including hand signals) from other operators and ground personnel and act accordingly.
  
• Perform mechanical inspections including controls and operations completing logbooks performs adjustments ensures good housekeeping and performs machine lubrication
  

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

• English speaking
  
• Minimum 5 years of field experience with operating Side Boom Equipment
  
• At least 2 years of field experience with operating in GCC
  
• Previous experience working on pipe line jobs
  
• Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
  

Specific skills and knowledge:

• Knowledge of Rigging signs
  
• Operate in crowded fast-paced working environments and exercises extreme caution with awareness of potential situational hazards to ensure site safety.
  

Qualifications & Requirements: Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, or related field. Experience: Minimum 2 5 years of experience in operating HVAC or district cooling systems. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of chiller systems (centrifugal or absorption), pumps, valves, control panels, and water treatment. Ability to read P&ID diagrams, technical manuals, and operational data. Proficient in using BMS/SCADA systems for monitoring and control.
