Director of Laundry
Job Summary:
The Director of Laundry will oversee all aspects of the laundry operations for Raffles & Fairmont Doha ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness efficiency and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing a large team implementing best practices and maintaining costeffective operations while adhering to brand standards and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily laundry operations including guest laundry dry cleaning and staff uniforms.
Ensure compliance with brand and quality standards maintaining luxurylevel service and efficiency.
Manage and develop a team of laundry professionals ensuring optimal staff performance and motivation.
Monitor and control budgets expenses and inventory to optimize operational costs.
Implement and enforce health and safety protocols in line with company policies.
Work closely with Housekeeping and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Ensure all laundry equipment is wellmaintained conducting regular inspections and liaising with engineering teams for repairs and upgrades.
Drive sustainability initiatives including water and energy conservation efforts.
Analyze operational data and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Handle guest concerns and special requests related to laundry services.
Qualifications :
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 57 years of experience in a leadership role within luxury hotel laundry operations.
Strong knowledge of laundry equipment cleaning agents and fabric care techniques.
Proven experience in managing large teams and complex laundry operations.
Excellent budgeting organizational and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering highquality service.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in laundry operations is an advantage.
Strong communication and problemsolving skills.
