Senior Legal Counsel

Job Purpose:

Provide high-quality legal advice and support on legal risks compliance and corporate governance to enable the organization and its joint ventures to operate lawfully effectively and ethically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance across operations.

• Draft review and negotiate contracts agreements and corporate policies to align with legal and business objectives.

• Manage litigation processes coordinate with external legal advisors and oversee dispute resolution.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Lead and develop the legal team to achieve performance objectives and ensure talent readiness.

• Oversee departmental budgeting cost control and financial performance monitoring.

• Implement policies procedures and best practices to ensure efficiency and compliance.

• Drive change management and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Prepare accurate and timely legal reports for management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Law or related field (MBA preferred).

• Experience: 12 years in legal roles with at least 5 years in senior management.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with power energy and water sectors is advantageous.

Skills:

• Strong leadership negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.

• Excellent strategic thinking problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Proficiency in English (Arabic is an advantage).

• Ability to build strong relationships and work effectively with multicultural teams.

• Solid understanding of GCC business culture and environment.
