The ideal candidate will serve as the focal point for Enterprise Risk Management across the organization, acting as the key interface between leadership teams and business units. This role will drive the development and implementation of risk frameworks, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. The candidate will proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks to safeguard organizational resilience and support informed decision-making at all levels.
Job Objective :
To design, implement, and lead Gulf Helicopters’ Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework end‑to‑end establishing risk architecture, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms to identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, compliance, and reputational risks, ensuring organizational resilience and alignment with strategic objectives.
Description : Team Supervision
- Organize and supervise the work of the assigned team to ensure that all work within a specific area of the activity is carried out in an efficient manner, which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
- Provide guidance and on‑the‑job training for junior colleagues and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
Budgeting and Financial Performance
Monitor the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensure all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.Provide inputs and implement policies, systems, and procedures for the assigned team so that all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost‑effective service.HSE & Compliance
Ensure team compliance with HSSEQ policies by monitoring safe work practices, addressing risks, and reinforcing quality and environmental standards. Support incident reporting, promote risk awareness, and maintain readiness to coordinate initial emergency response actions as per the Emergency Response Plan.Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.Reporting
Prepare sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet GHC and department requirements, policies, and quality standards.ERM Framework
Design and implement the ERM architecture by establishing risk categories, governance structures, and reporting lines to ensure comprehensive coverage of aviation‑specific exposures and alignment with international best practices.Develop and embed risk management processes by working with process owners to integrate systematic risk identification, assessment, and mitigation into day‑to‑day operations across all functions.Establish clear risk ownership by assigning control owners for each major risk category, defining their accountabilities, and ensuring consistent follow‑through on mitigation and monitoring actions.Design and conduct risk assessments by analyzing operational, financial, and compliance data—such as fleet availability metrics, incident reports, and audit findings—to identify exposures requiring enhanced controls.Develop and formalize control measures in collaboration with Operations, Finance, and Compliance teams, ensuring policies, procedures, and safeguards effectively minimize the likelihood and impact of identified risks.Build monitoring and oversight mechanisms by establishing dashboards and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) that provide real‑time visibility into risk trends, control effectiveness, and emerging vulnerabilities.Lead and institutionalize regular risk reviews by conducting cross‑functional workshops to reassess risk registers, validate mitigation progress, and ensure alignment with target risk appetite levels.Design and execute scenario analyses by modeling “what‑if” situations—such as regulatory breaches, operational disruptions, or financial shocks—to evaluate potential organizational, financial, and reputational impacts.Integrate scenario analysis into continuity planning by embedding outputs into business continuity and crisis management frameworks, strengthening organizational preparedness and resilience.Drive preventive action planning by identifying systemic control gaps during reviews and recommending process or policy enhancements to minimize future exposures.
Reporting :
Develop and deliver executive‑level risk reports by synthesizing trend analyses, control performance metrics, and scenario outcomes into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and the Board.Represent and advocate for the ERM function in executive forums by presenting risk dashboards, key findings, and proposed mitigation strategies to influence strategic decision‑making and secure leadership buy‑in.Oversee risk governance alignment by coordinating with Audit, Compliance, and regulatory bodies to ensure ERM activities are fully integrated with internal audit plans and external regulatory requirements.Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university.Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field from an accredited university is preferred.12+ years of experience in Risk Management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.Job‑Specific Skills (Generic / Technical) :
