Piping Designer (SP3D)

ISS International S.p.A. is seeking a

Piping Designer

in Qatar to manage, within a project, a team of Piping and Layout Draftsmen. The role involves carrying out the Piping and Layout part of installations, creating 3D CAD models, and producing Piping / Layout construction drawings in accordance with technical, budget, and schedule targets. This will be done under the responsibility of the Project Piping and Layout Leader or Piping Engineers. Responsibilities : Execute activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA / QC and HSE requirements. Tasks include : Development Technology Know-How and Commercial Support Feasibility Bidding Phase / Commercial Proposal Development Project Execution Design, execute, or check typical Piping and Layout studies including : 3D modelling, 3D model review with other disciplines, clash detection reports, and the creation of construction or design drawings using 2D software or extracted from 3D models (overall plot plan, equipment layout, piping general arrangement, isometrics, supports), as well as Bill of Materials and material take-offs. Organize team work and monitor resource planning. Coordinate with Piping and Layout Engineers of the project. Review input data and all documents issued by the team. Ensure assumptions are aligned with project developments; report anomalies. Supervise document updates following comments from other disciplines or external stakeholders. Share lessons learned to contribute to department improvements. Requirements : Knowledge of international discipline standards, codes, and regulations. Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling tools. Understanding of stress analysis principles and design criteria. Familiarity with SmartPlant P&ID and related applications. 6-15 years of experience as a Piping Designer, with strong offshore project expertise.
