Qatar based Oil and Gas client is looking to hire a Senior Radiation Safety Officer to advise and develop effective safety strategies, standards and procedures in Radiation Safety. You will be reporting to the HSE Manager. Role Responsibility
Develop, implement and maintain corporate standards, procedures and guidelines in the field of Radiation Safety, with the broader aim of ensuring that risks are identified, monitored and managed. Develop and implement corporate driven Radiation Safety Process and improvement plan including identifying the performance measures and targets for Radiation Safety, enhanced monitoring and reporting of proactive leading indicators. Participate / Lead investigations to identify root causes of major radiation protection incidents or those with high potential risk, to assure that corrective measures are identified, and preventive measures are implemented to prevent further recurrence. Education Requirements
Bachelor’s in Engineering or Science discipline. Mandatory Requirements
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in Radiation Safety is required. A minimum 5 – 10 years of Oil and Gas experience with experience in managing Radiation Safety is required. A valid license as a Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) is required (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM) Management). Chartered Safety Professional (CSP) credential and / or International certification or training is preferable. How to Apply
