Roustabout Offshore Jackup Rig

Job Purpose

The Roustabout is an entry-level offshore rig worker responsible for general labor deck operations and assisting the drilling crew. This position plays a key role in maintaining safe, clean, and efficient rig operations while supporting the overall drilling and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deck Operations

Assist in loading and unloading supply vessels.

Clean and maintain rig decks, machinery, and work areas.

Assist derrickhands and roughnecks during drilling and pipe handling operations.

Follow all HSE regulations and operator-specific safety policies (e.g., QatarEnergy Shell).

Operate basic rig machinery (e.g., forklifts, winches, pumps) if trained and certified.

Requirements

Experience : No prior offshore experience required (offshore or industrial experience preferred). Basic understanding of rig operations and equipment handling is an advantage.
