We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As the Bar Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bar operations ensuring exceptional customer service and maximizing profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Manage daily bar operations including staff scheduling inventory control and financial reporting
- Develop and implement innovative cocktail menus and beverage programs that align with current trends and customer preferences
- Train and mentor bar staff to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain product knowledge
- Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws health regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute marketing strategies to increase bar revenue
- Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms for beverage purchases
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently
- Organize and oversee special events and promotions to drive business
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for all beverages and bar services
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas to enhance the bar's offerings and atmosphere
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Food & Beverage Management Hospitality Management or related field; or equivalent extensive hands‑on experience in a cocktail bar conceptMinimum of 5 years of experience in the hotel or free‑standing restaurant and bar environment with at least 2 years in a similar managerial positionProven track record of successfully managing high‑volume bar operationsStrong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a teamExcellent knowledge of cocktails spirits wines and current beverage trendsProficiency in bar management software and Microsoft Office suiteCertification in food safety and alcohol service (e.g. ServSafe)Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting forecasting and profit maximizationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast‑paced environment and make quick sound decisionsFamiliarity with local cultural norms and preferences in beverage service in Doha, QatarKnowledge of local liquor laws and regulationsExperience with inventory management and cost controlFlexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as requiredAdditional Information
