About the opportunity Job purpose :

Ensures continuity of engineering to site.

Is in charge of technical interfaces with the sub-contractors.

Is In charge of resolving first level problems at site.

Performs simple calculations and draws sketches for any modification work at site.

Reporting lines and interactions

Hierarchically reports to : HOD, Electrical.

Operationally reports to : Manager –HOD, Electrical Manager.

Key interactions (internally, externally) : Discipline Manager and vendors.

Main Accountabilities

Site survey on shore / offshore for data retrieval

Design of main SLD and auxiliary distribution schemes

Protection & relay co-ordination

Load calculations

Power system study ETAP

Earthing calculations

Cable sizing calculation

AC & DC UPS, DG set sizing calculations

Equipment sizing & selection

Familiar with Hazardous area classifications & layout

Preparation of material requisitions for electrical equipment such as medium voltage / low voltage switchgears, transformers, cables, DC / AC UPS equipment etc.

Preparation of technical specifications of electrical equipment such as generator, transformer, medium voltage / low voltage switchgears, cables, lighting packages etc.

Technical bid evaluation

Vendor interaction & discussion with clients

Cable schedule, cable interconnection / termination and cable routing

Electrical layouts and materials list

Lighting calculations and layouts

Lightning protection design

Layouts for electrical rooms

Vendor drawings review

Preparation of distribution board / panelboard schedules

Field engineering support

Familiar with International standards

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field is required.

Minimum 10 -15 years of experience in Oil & Gas sectors with independent working capability & effective communication skills.

Fluency in English Language
