ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

The key responsibilities include : Supporting managers in the preparation and implementation of environmental practices on-site and in the office; Working with stakeholders to ensure environmental procedures and policies are applied at the Programme and Project levels; Conducting site audits; Preparing or reviewing Environmental Impact Assessment reports; Reviewing construction environmental management plans; Providing technical support to management and acting independently when required; Identifying concerns and areas for improvement within the department and streamlining processes; Monitoring policies and procedures and reporting on areas needing improvement; Ensuring compliance with environmental legislation across programmes and projects; Liaising with the Ministry of Environment and other stakeholders. Qualifications & Criteria (Mandatory Requirements) : University degree in Science or Engineering from a recognized university; At least 7 years of experience in Environmental Management and Sustainability in construction projects, including 4 years managing environmental and sustainability requirements such as CEMP and environmental permits; Preferably with Level 6 (NEBOSH Environmental Diploma or IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management) and ISO 14001 EMS Lead Auditor Training; Evidence of professional qualification or equivalent is preferable; Experience working in Qatar and / or the Gulf region.
