Overview
NURSE URGENT
Provide direct care to designated individuals. Apply nursing knowledge to summarize data, state nursing medical diagnoses, and determine client treatment requirements. Deliver safe, culturally competent, person-centred nursing care to clients, families, communities and culture in partnership with the multidisciplinary team, irrespective of health care setting. Accept responsibility for services provided to receivers and for personal actions and decisions and their outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide and review direct client care in accordance with the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice as the ethical and professional framework, considering socio-cultural needs of people, families, communities and culture.
- Implement recommended interventions (e.g., diagnostic examinations, medications) and perform independent nursing interventions (e.g., patient and family education).
- Ensure the implementation, monitoring, and continuous evaluation of the person or client care plan.
- Maintain infection-control procedures and inspect and preserve nursing materials supply.
- Monitor and coordinate maintenance of equipment.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to align nursing solutions with other healthcare disciplines.
- Review quality and appropriateness of care and maintain accountability for services rendered.
Qualifications
