Overview The bowling technician handles the bowling lanes, pinsetters, legs, ball returns, ball brushes, and score gear. All other technical factors are interdependent. The technician performs monthly maintenance to avoid problems with all bowling equipment. The technician also cleans, repairs, and adjusts automated scoring equipment.
Qualifications The candidate should have completed secondary school and possess proficiency in English and, if feasible, Arabic. Must know how to bowl and use the pinsetter. Able to operate essential hand tools, greasers, meters, and power tools. Able to diagnose problems with complex equipment and make precise mechanical and electrical changes. Must be able to work safely and competently.
Experience A minimum of five years of experience in the same position is required.
Job Purpose The maintenance technician is responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior of the bowling complex.
Job Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on bowling equipment
Maintain bowling lanes, pinsetters, pins, ball returns, bowling balls, scoring equipment, and other mechanical parts
Conduct regular servicing and repairs to prevent problems in all bowling systems
Identify replacement parts and supplies and prepare orders accordingly
Perform major rebuilds and overhauls of equipment as necessary
Plan, service, and maintain actions and apply significant improvements
Maintain accurate records of parts, costs, and machine performance
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
