Role Vertical Sales Account Manager in Qatar responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and identifying market opportunities. As the relationship owner, ensure Siemens offerings provide sustainable value while managing both new customer acquisition and the expansion of existing customer relationships.
Responsibilities
Account Planning : Define mid-to-long-term goals for expanding and nurturing both new and existing accounts, aligned with the business strategy.
Tiered account engagement : Classify accounts by strategic importance and define engagement models (high-touch vs. digital-led).
Develop account strategies / plans aligned with the customer’s buyer journey; prioritize prospects to allocate resources by importance.
Identify go-to-market channels, campaigns, and market strategies to fulfill account objectives.
Schedule and plan customer interactions to foster relationships and drive engagement, including collaboration with C-level executives.
Conduct periodic reviews using market intelligence and CRM data to measure progress and adjust tactics.
Prospecting and Discovery :
Own the opportunity pipeline for assigned accounts from creation to closure; assess pipeline health and required actions.
Execute marketing-led campaigns and develop targeted campaigns as needed.
Develop relationships with new customers to identify high-potential opportunities.
Evaluate requirements and ROI to determine the best go-to-market approach.
Explore customer needs beyond technical requirements, including financial considerations and new business models.
Opportunity Management :
Engage with decision-makers (including C-level) to demonstrate business impact and manage cross-functional dynamics.
Define the needed team to support the deal and translate value propositions into customer-specific benefits.
Determine pricing models and terms; seek discounts or terms as needed to secure opportunities.
Incorporate financial services and new business models into deal strategy to support long-term objectives.
Build a network of advocates within the account to drive upsell / cross-sell opportunities.
Monitor risks and align on action plans to keep opportunities on track; manage negotiations and closings.
Team Orchestration : Coordinate internal teams to deliver value and ensure consistent account engagement.
Sales Administration, Analytics and Reporting :
Provide accurate forecasts and planning information; maintain CRM records and pipeline data.
Participate in Win / Loss reviews and share insights with Sales Management.
Publish success stories and keep sales skills and industry knowledge up to date.
Qualifications Your success is grounded in significant operational experience in leading a Sales function or similar role. You should already have :
Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical / automation / electronic / computer science / mechatronics engineering, or technical high school diploma
Strong customer focus and target-oriented mindset with initiative and autonomy
Strong technical experience in automation solutions and sales within the automation market
Knowledge of market dynamics and rules in Oil & Gas and Petrochemicals industries
Local Qatar market experience in major industries preferred (Oil & Gas, Water / Wastewater, Infrastructure, etc.)
Curiosity for discovering opportunities and continuous learning of new technologies
Fundamental knowledge in Digitalization (IoT, AI) and experience with DCS, PLC, HMI / SCADA, drives, and related software / tools
Customer-centric thinking and strong collaboration across functions
