Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Highway Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to function as Discipline project Supervising Engineer on medium to large projects, assuming responsibility for the work of the project team.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Act as the Discipline Project Supervising Engineer, leading and managing medium to large highway design projects.
• Oversee the design and development of highway systems, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Plan, direct, and supervise the work of a major engineering task or project requiring large scale expenditure of manpower and financial investment.
• Perform complex engineering road and highway tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately.
• Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
• Ensure compliance of design with all applicable standards and regulations, providing the seal and signature of the professional engineer when required by statute or contract.
• Develop standard design procedures; prepare design briefs and may conduct on-site training of personnel.
• Maintain affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.
• Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. May assist Section Supervisors with other administrative and technical duties.
• Recommend and prepare technical papers.
