JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor - Warehouse (On-site/Off-site) oversees and manages the day-to-day process of receiving, storage and distribution of all items received either from healthcare suppliers, ensuring a smooth and consistent operation. The Supervisor - Warehouse (On-site/Off-site) ensures the items required by departments are stored and replenished in a cost efficient and effective manner as needed to as needed to satisfy internal and external customer requirements.
- Patient Supply Store
- Ensures a smooth dispensing workflow to optimize the patient workflow and experience within the PSS. Ensures accuracy of the stock holding within the PSS.
- Coordinates with the PSS dispensary team regarding the levels and stock holding to optimize the service levels and minimize expiries.
- Coordinates with clinical areas and pharmacy to ensure consistency of approach for the patient in terms of stock availability and collection for the required ancillary items and homecare equipment.
- Supports in the optimization of the digital ordering process and integration between Sidra’s ERP and EMR systems.
- Supports the management in addressing all risks and Datix incidents raised against PSS
- Inwards Goods
- Ensures all received goods are labeled and marked according to established principles.
- Coordinates with Procurement, Biomedical Engineering and Facilities to solve any receiving issues in general and receiving of capital items in particular.
- Ensures hazardous substances are stored and transported in accordance with current regulations and Material Safety Data Sheets.
- Coordinates delivery schedules of goods with suppliers and transportation companies.
- Put away & Replenish
- Manages the put away of stocks by efficiently utilizing space and putting goods into correct bulk stock locations according to put-away schedules.
- Manages the replenishing of pick-faces with goods from bulk stock areas.
- Checks item expiry dates and removes damaged/expired stock to quarantine area as required.
- Ensures forklifts and any other picking machines are operated in a safe manner and by trained staff only.
- Picking
- Assures the accuracy of the picking process by putting specific emphasis on picking correct Units of Measure.
- Documents and communicates discrepancies in a timely manner with the Manager.
- Coordinates the replenishment of pick faces with Put away and replenish.
- Rotates fast-moving items into the carousel on a regular basis.
- Effectively and efficiently uses the automated and computerized picking systems.
- Dispatch
- Arranges outward shipments and produces associated documents as required.
- Coordinates with transportation providers for smooth distribution and shipment.
- Ensures all totes are correctly labeled.
- Coordinates disposal activities as and when required.
- Other
- Complies with policies, procedures and any other required standards.
- Communicates effectively with clinical and non-clinical customers, managers, team members and any other staff as well as representatives of external suppliers and their agents (e.g., customs, shipping and forwarding companies).
- Contributes in ensuring that all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Ensures only qualified and trained staff operate plant and equipment e.g., forklifts.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS – SELECTION CRITERIA
Education : Technical Diploma in supply chain, warehousing, business or a related field
Preferred : Bachelor’s Degree
Experience:
- 6+ years of warehouse management experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory role in a healthcare setting
Preferred : 7+ years warehouse experience some of it gained in an automated warehouse using Pick to Light, Tilt Tray, Carousel etc.
Certification and Licensure:
Preferred
- Forklift License
- Supply chain certification
Job Specific Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated multicultural staff management experience
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ERP knowledge and experience in inventory control and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Fluency in written and spoken English
