Engineering Supervisor

Overview An Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel to ensure a safe, well‑maintained, and efficient environment for guests and team members. This includes conducting daily inspections, supervising repairs, and coordinating renovation and maintenance projects.

What will I be doing? As an Engineering Supervisor, your responsibilities will include :

Overseeing all engineering and maintenance activities within the hotel.

Conducting daily inspections of hotel facilities and equipment to ensure optimal functioning.

Supervising and assisting in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Ensuring all hotel fixtures, fittings, and equipment are maintained in a safe and operational condition.

Leading and supporting the engineering team to deliver high‑quality service and timely maintenance.

Coordinating and monitoring renovation and upgrade projects, including defining scope, budgeting, and supervising contractors.

Developing and implementing emergency response procedures and safety protocols.

Managing energy conservation initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Conducting regular safety inspections and ensuring team members are trained accordingly.

Building strong working relationships with internal departments and external service providers.

Handling special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

What are we looking for? An Engineering Supervisor serving Hilton brands is expected to lead by example, ensuring the hotel’s engineering operations run smoothly and efficiently. To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate the following attributes :

Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical operations

Proven leadership and supervisory skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to delivering high standards of service and safety

Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

Flexibility to manage a variety of tasks and respond to operational needs

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous experience in a similar engineering or supervisory role

It would be advantageous if you also have :

First Aid certification

Vocational or technical training in engineering, facilities management, or a related field

Experience in energy management or sustainability initiatives
