Governance and Compliance Manager
Reports To : Chief Executive Officer
Role Purpose The Governance and Compliance Manager will oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of companywide policies and procedures across all departments and subsidiaries. The role ensures that the organization operates in accordance with internal standards, legal and regulatory requirements and international governance best practices. It focuses on proactive compliance policy enforcement and cultivating a culture of good governance.
Key Responsibilities Policy & Procedure Oversight
Develop, update and maintain a comprehensive framework for all company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with department heads to ensure all policies are documented, approved and communicated across the organization.
Ensure policies are aligned with local regulations, company values and international standards.
Governance & Compliance
Monitor the implementation of internal policies to ensure consistent application across departments and business units.
Identify gaps in governance practices and propose practical improvements.
Establish compliance tracking systems and dashboards to monitor adherence.
Support the implementation of corrective actions where compliance issues are identified.
Training & Awareness
Develop and conduct regular training and awareness sessions for employees on governance and compliance matters.
Serve as a resource for departments on interpretation and application of company policies.
Regulatory Alignment
Stay informed on relevant Qatari laws, industry‑specific regulations and best practices.
Liaise with Legal and HR teams to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and changes in the regulatory landscape.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare periodic compliance and governance reports for executive leadership and board committees.
Maintain proper documentation and logs of policy violations, exemptions and compliance reviews.
Requirements Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Policy or a related field (Master s degree is a plus).
5–8 years of relevant experience in governance, compliance, policy development or corporate affairs. Experience in a holding company or multi‑industry environment is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of corporate governance frameworks, risk management and internal controls.
Knowledge of Qatari laws and regulations relevant to corporate operations.
Experience working with ISO standards or other compliance frameworks is an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to drive change and promote a compliance‑first culture without being overly bureaucratic.
Strong reporting and documentation skills.
Languages
Fluent in English (required).
Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
