Production Engineer

Job Description

Responsibilities :

Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities for offshore structural projects.

Review project drawings, specifications, and work packs to develop execution plans.

Supervise fabrication, welding, fit-up, and assembly of offshore structures.

Ensure compliance with project requirements, international codes, and standards (AWS, ASME, API, ISO, AISC).

Coordinate with engineering, QA / QC, and procurement teams to ensure material readiness and documentation.

Monitor manpower, equipment utilization, and productivity to achieve targets.

Troubleshoot technical and production issues on the shop floor or site.

Support preparation and execution of load-out, erection, and installation works.

Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards and conduct toolbox talks with teams.

Participate in inspections, testing, and client approval processes.

Maintain production records, progress reports, and NCR / corrective action follow-ups.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to supervisors and foremen.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience :

Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Structural, or Marine Engineering.

5–10 years of experience in production / fabrication, with at least 3–5 years in offshore structural projects.

Hands-on experience in fabrication of jackets, topsides, and heavy offshore modules.

Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, SAW), NDT requirements, and fabrication tolerances.

Familiarity with project management, scheduling, and progress monitoring tools.

Previous experience in oil & gas, EPC, or offshore construction yards is essential.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience : Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in piping works, including at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of piping fabrication, erection, and testing methods. Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO). Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, shipyard, or heavy fabrication projects. Ability to read and interpret piping isometrics, P&IDs, and GA drawings.
