Overview
We are seeking a skilled and efficient Staff Cafeteria Cook to join our team at a prestigious resort in Doha Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our staff members ensuring a positive dining experience while maintaining food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare nutritious and appealing meals for resort staff members
- Develop and update menu items based on seasonal availability and staff preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Collaborate with the cafeteria team to ensure smooth operations during meal services
- Monitor food quality and presentation
- Accommodate special dietary requirements and food allergies
- Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste
- Participate in menu planning and recipe development
- Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and resort policies
Qualifications
Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen settingStrong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniquesExcellent understanding of food safety principles and hygiene standardsAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsTeam player with good communication abilitiesCulinary degree or diploma preferredCurrent food safety certification requiredKnowledge of various cuisines including Middle Eastern (preferred)Understanding of dietary restrictions and food allergiesExperience in a resort or hotel setting is a plusFlexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidaysPhysical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsAdditional Information
