Job Description
Responsibilities :
Supervise all scaffolding operations including erection, inspection, modification, and dismantling of various scaffold types (tube & coupler, system, suspended, mobile).
Review work permits, scaffold design drawings, and load calculations prior to commencement of work.
Plan and allocate daily tasks to scaffolding foremen and teams , ensuring efficient use of manpower and materials.
Conduct site inspections to verify scaffold safety, stability, and compliance with approved designs.
Ensure scaffold tagging system (Green, Yellow, Red) is properly implemented and maintained.
Coordinate with construction, maintenance, and safety departments for scaffold requirements and approvals.
Conduct risk assessments, safety briefings, and toolbox talks for scaffolding crews.
Maintain scaffolding material inventory , track usage, and report shortages or damages.
Ensure all scaffolders are competent and certified for the type of scaffolding being performed.
Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspection records, and permit logs .
Enforce adherence to HSE regulations, PTW (Permit-to-Work) systems , and company safety policies.
Support in incident investigations and implement corrective actions where needed.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience :
Diploma / ITI in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction discipline .
Minimum 7–10 years of scaffolding experience , with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory role within shipyard, oil & gas, or heavy industrial projects.
Certified Scaffolding Supervisor / Inspector (CITB, CISRS, TUV, or equivalent third-party certification).
Thorough knowledge of BS EN 12811, OSHA, and international scaffolding standards .
Familiar with scaffold design principles, load calculations, and safety inspections .
Offshore medical certificate and BOSIET / HUET training preferred for offshore work.
