Chef de Partie – Bakery
Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned’s Club, a private members’ club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.
As a Chef de Partie – Bakery , you will oversee daily bakery operations and ensure the consistent production of premium‑quality baked goods for our restaurants, lounges and banquet events. You will lead a small team, maintain high standards of quality and presentation, and contribute to the development of new and inspiring bakery creations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and participate in the preparation, baking, and finishing of breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and specialty items.
- Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation meet the hotel’s standards of excellence.
- Organise daily mise en place and delegate tasks efficiently to the bakery team.
- Monitor stock levels, maintain cost control, and ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients.
- Maintain strict hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards in the bakery area.
- Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and Sous Chef to develop new recipes and seasonal offerings.
- Train and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications & Competencies
Minimum 3–4 years of experience in a professional bakery, ideally within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.Strong technical knowledge in bread and pastry production, dough handling, and finishing techniques.Proven leadership and organisational skills with attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining quality.Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry preferred.Passionate, creative and dedicated to delivering excellence.What’s In It for You?
