Responsibilities

• Preparing surfaces for painting or wallpapering by washing walls, removing old paint or wallpaper, filling holes, cracks or other surface imperfections.
• Selecting appropriate materials such as primers and glazes.
• Mixing paints or stains to produce desired colors.
• Cutting in corners; matching existing finish on new work.
• Applying paint with brushes, spray guns or rollers.
• Removing excess paint from trimming; cleaning up at the end of the job.
