Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management in a project environment
- Have thorough knowledge of the regulations, codes and standards and a good understanding of onshore and offshore engineering practices applicable to Instrumentation & Control design for oil and gas facilities
- Apply extensive knowledge across design deliverables for Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design, establishing the appropriate level of detail and checking required for each phase
- Work on brownfields & asset services type projects / contracts
- Deliver excellent technical and practical engineering work with quality, accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain an excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the Instrumentation & Control discipline and the basic requirements of other disciplines
- Apply knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements
- Utilize relevant Instrumentation & Control discipline software
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of design deliverables for Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design and determine appropriate level of detail for each phase
- Experience and good understanding of DCS, SIL 3 F&G and ESD, PA / GA systems
- Design and select instrumentation / equipment for onshore / offshore process facilities
- Understand codes, standards and practices applicable to instrument design and installation (e.g., API, ISA, ANSI, AGA, ISO and IEC codes)
- Select equipment and materials for new projects and replacements in existing installations
- Extensive experience in the design of microprocessor-based equipment such as SCADA / DCS, ESD, IPS Fire & Gas Detection, Fire Protection Systems, metering, WHCP, etc.
IT Skills
Proficient in DCS, SIL 3 F&G and ESD, PA / GA systems (preferred)Quality Assurance

Extensive senior-level experience in the Oil & Gas industryDesign and detail engineering experience leading a team of Instrumentation & Control engineers and designersExtensive technical, practical and leadership experience in Instrumentation & Control within the same or similar industry, including leading multi-disciplinary projects and teamsEducation – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Full-time bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering from an accredited universityMME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is mandatory; candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve it within the probationary periodChartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or pursuing it is an advantageMoving forward together
