Audit Manager, Family Holdings

Our client, a renowned market leader in numerous fields is looking to hire an Audit Manager to be based in Qatar.

The main responsibilities will be Audit Planning & Strategy, Develop an annual risk-based internal audit plan approved by the Audit Committee, Identify high-risk areas across all group functions and subsidiaries.Audit Execution, Lead audits covering operational, financial, compliance, and IT functions, Assess effectiveness of internal controls, SOPs, and risk mitigation measures, Perform investigations of suspected fraud, misconduct, or irregularities, Governance & Compliance, Ensure adherence to Qatari laws, IFRS, internal policies, and industry best practices, Provide recommendations to improve governance and risk frameworks, Reporting present audit findings and recommendations directly to the Audit Committee, Monitor management's implementation of corrective actions, Team & Process Development, Recruit and mentor audit staff to build a high-performing Internal Audit function and Introduce audit tools, checklists, and data analytics for efficiency.

To be eligible for this position you will need to have a bachelor or masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Masters preferred), Professional certifications : CIA, CPA, ACCA, or CISA (preferred), Minimum 8-10 years of internal audit experience, preferably in diversified group holdings and strong understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and control frameworks.

Key skills are to possess strategic thinking and analytical ability, strong report writing and presentation skills, integrity, independence, and professionalism, Ability to work with senior executives at Board level.
