Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Officer to ensure the implementation of safety, environmental, and quality programs across onshore facilities. The role focuses on maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel, supporting operations, engineering, and project activities while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and plan activities of HSEQ personnel to deliver approved safety, environmental, and quality programs.

Develop, recommend, and conduct training programs on safety principles and practices.

Ensure HSEQ equipment and facilities are maintained and fully operational through preventive maintenance programs.

Implement and monitor the Permit to Work (PTW) system, including hot work and vessel entry procedures.

Provide guidance in incident investigations and participate in reviewing and analysing safety statistics.

Inspect new project construction and installation work to ensure contractor compliance with HSEQ standards.

Ensure adequate stocks of HSEQ and emergency equipment, as well as personal protective equipment, are available at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline.

Strong construction / commissioning experience (in oil and gas sector) offshore & onshore experience of around 8-10 yrs.

Knowledge of HSEQ standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Strong computer literacy and proficiency in relevant software applications.

Well-developed interpersonal, analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to supervise, mentor, and coach team members.

Strong understanding of SHE principles and commitment to workplace safety.

Additional Information

Candidates must be willing to work on-site in Qatar.

Travel and relocation support provided as per project policy.
