Overview
The Mixologist at Raffles & Fairmont Doha is an expert in the art and science of crafting innovative and exceptional cocktails. This role requires creativity, advanced knowledge of spirits and mixology techniques, and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience in a luxury setting. The Mixologist plays a key role in elevating the beverage program and enhancing the overall atmosphere of the bar.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and serve unique, high-quality cocktails and beverages that align with the brand’s luxury standards and guest preferences.
- Develop new cocktail recipes and seasonal drink menus in collaboration with the Bar Manager.
- Engage guests with expert knowledge about drinks, ingredients, and mixology trends to enhance their experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, ensuring all tools and ingredients are prepared and readily available.
- Train and mentor bar staff on cocktail preparation, presentation, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal bar operations.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and feedback with professionalism and enthusiasm.
- Participate in promotional events and collaborate with marketing teams to highlight the bar’s offerings.
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and innovative mixology practices through ongoing education.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Mixologist or Senior Bartender, preferably in luxury hotels and / or resorts.Deep knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, cocktail recipes, and mixology techniques.Creativity and passion for crafting innovative drinks.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused approach.Ability to train, motivate, and lead bar team members.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Physically able to stand for long periods and perform bar-related tasks.Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.Seniority level
