Librarian

Librarian (Malayalee) in Ar-Ruwais, UAE

We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Ar-Ruwais. As a Malayalee Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and organizing our library resources, providing assistance to library users, and promoting a love for reading and learning within our community.

Key Responsibilities : - Manage daily operations of the library, including collection development, cataloging, circulation, and maintenance of library materials - Assist library users in locating and accessing resources - Develop and implement programs and activities to promote literacy and engage the community in the use of the library - Maintain accurate records of library usage and statistics - Stay updated on new trends and technologies in the field of librarianship - Collaborate with other departments to integrate library resources into curriculum or programming - Train and supervise library staff as needed

Requirements : - Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (Master's preferred) - Fluent in Malayalam language (written and spoken) - Minimum 2 years of experience working as a librarian or similar role - Knowledge of current trends and best practices in librarianship - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations - Proficient with cataloging systems, electronic databases, and other library technology

Salary : 1300$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
