Job Description – PDS Piping Designer

Role Summary

The PDS Piping Designer shall have hands‑on experience in Intergraph PDS (Plant Design System) for 3D modeling of piping systems, equipment layout, and associated deliverables. The role requires strong coordination skills with other engineering disciplines and an understanding of applicable piping codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop 3D piping models in Intergraph PDS based on P&IDs, project specifications, and equipment layouts.
• Prepare piping general arrangement (GA) drawings, isometric drawings, support drawings, and material take‑offs (MTOs).
• Model piping, equipment, and supports, ensuring accurate connectivity and clash‑free design.
• Perform clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines (structural, civil, electrical, instrumentation) to resolve issues.
• Generate reports and interface files for review using SmartPlant Review (SPR) or Navisworks.
• Participate in model review sessions, design coordination meetings, and project progress reviews.
