Title Industrial Hygienist

Resposibilities

Develop a full roadmap and implement a full Occupational Hygiene / Industrial Hygiene Program

Coordinate to purchase the necessary new required Industrial Hygiene equipment maintain it along with its periodic maintenance contracts within the available budget.

Coordinate the occupational hygiene program for the operation as well as at Corporate Office.

Develop long terms monitoring program based on business and regulatory requirements. Conduct occupational monitoring through the operations as per the program.

Compile detailed formal reports following occupational hygiene monitoring.

Support operational teams with Regulatory training and awareness programs related to occupational hygiene and general health & safety topics.

Develop and deliver presentations to the workforce on occupational hygiene related subjects.

Investigation followup and reporting of any occupational hygiene incidents to the higher authorities.

Timely reporting of Monthly Quarterly and Annual data to higher management.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a similar role.

Experience of working in a highly regulated industry especially Steel manufacturing.

A Technical College or University Degree in Industrial / Occupational Hygiene Science Safety

Engineering or related discipline is desirable.

The candidate should be an expert in the following.

Qualitative Assessment (Detailed Industrial Hygienist Walk Through Survey)

a. Forall routine & nonroutine activities

b. Forall types of Hazards example; Physical Chemical Biological Ergonomic etc.

c. Develop Risk matrix & sampling matrix based upon the sitespecific inputs as well as HIRA

d. Qualitative Assessment report draft should be Technically approved by the Certified

Industrial Hygienist & submit the same to Qatar Steel for further review.

Quantitative assessment : Exposure monitoring specifically the Task Based Health Risk Assessment.

Tocomplete the Task Based Health Risk Assessment of all levels of all Job positions within Qatar

Steel at all locations including manufacturing & administrative locations.

• for Each Task for all Job Positions at Qatar Steel;
• Personal Air Sapling for Chemical exposure
• Personal Dosimetry for Noise monitoring
• RULA & REBA for Ergonomic survey etc.
• Lux meter for illumination
