We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Commis Pastry Chef to join a prestigious fine dining culinary team in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in pastry techniques, a creative flair, and a commitment to excellence. You will work alongside world-class chefs to deliver exceptional desserts and pastry items that reflect the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of all pastry and dessert items.
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Pastry Chef.
Ensure ingredients and products are stored and rotated properly, maintaining hygiene and safety standards at all times.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section and uphold kitchen sanitation standards.
Support senior pastry chefs with mise en place and daily tasks.
Participate in the development of new pastry items and menu concepts.
Comply with all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
Qualifications
Diploma / Bachelor's degree in culinary or pastry training from a recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a pastry role, preferably in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment.
Strong understanding of classic and modern pastry techniques.
Attention to detail with an artistic approach to presentation.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
A positive attitude and eagerness to learn from top-tier culinary professionals.
