Overview of the Role
The Assistant Finance Manager for FP&A and AP is responsible for providing crucial financial management support and control within Doha Festival City. The role entails managing and controlling various financial and accounting systems, ensuring financial stability by monitoring internal controls and promoting transparency and accuracy in financial operations. Key responsibilities include the oversight of daily accounting activities, month‑end procedures, and active engagement with the business to prepare financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and conduct monthly variance analysis across assets. The incumbent should also guarantee compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and contribute significantly to financial excellence and process improvement projects.
What You Will Do
Manage the team to deliver on‑time monthly accounting close for general ledger, fixed asset, tax, revenue and expense and ensure balance sheet integrity.
Ensure accounts payable function is performed effectively in compliance with DOA and all relevant checks are made before releasing supplier payments.
Preparation of budgets in conjunction with all departments to ensure reliability of the key assumptions and monitor the operating budget, investigating variances where necessary.
Develop reports and financial analysis as required for external and internal purposes, ensuring completion within company timelines.
Contribute to finance business excellence projects, focusing on reporting automation and process improvements.
Provide insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long‑term and short‑term decision making.
Oversee and ensure accuracy of bank reconciliations and reconcile the outstanding items on time before closing.
Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over finance department activities.

What Qualifies You For The Role
CA / CPA / CIMA / ACCA / CFA / CMA or equivalent certification.
Minimum 10 years of experience in financial and management accounting, with a focus on real estate.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects) and experience with ERP systems like SAP.
Demonstrated ability to develop management reporting packs and present to senior leadership.
