Job descriptionProvide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in process & flow assurance engineering to Operations and other Departments, including major projects to address technically complex and long-term process & flow assurance issues. Ensure day-to-day process surveillance activities in compliance with QGMS ASV L3 process “Perform Plant Facilities Surveillance” for all QG Offshore assets to ensure safe, reliable and optimum production. Prepare and issue surveillance report / recommendations, troubleshoot and escalate threats and deviations from surveillance monitoring activities. Ensure hydrate management, flow assurance support related to multiphase flow dynamics during pigging activities, planned / unplanned shutdown and ramp-up / ramp down for pipelines to avoid detrimental effects at receiving facilities. Examine and monitor system and process efficiencies to help improve asset performance and provide advanced and long-term engineering solutions in accordance with procedures and operating manuals. Provide Process Engineering & Flow Assurance support to EMOCs and other process engineering studies for the assigned area and conduct assigned EMOCs and AIR. Participate in FRAs, RCFAs, RS, HAZOPs, HAZID, SIL and other assessments to address process safety and reliability issues. Provide shutdown support to respective asset, including shutdown scoping / planning for process-related activities. Provide flow assurance support on pipeline operation, pipeline chemical management, and pipeline integrity. Act as administrator for HMS Procedures, Pipeline Operating Manuals, and Pipeline Management System (PMS) to ensure availability of adequate tools for tasks related to flow assurance activities. Participate in regular Operations meetings to address inquiries requiring Process & Flow Assurance Engineering Support. Communicate with Process & Flow Assurance Engineering Lead to provide updates and highlight key issues for proper management support. Review and provide preliminary analysis / design for process & flow assurance engineering project queries, including major projects. Review project interface agreements to ensure brown field modifications do not adversely impact operations / facilities. Review and prepare annual business plan assumptions data for Corporate Planning department in compliance with procedures. Bachelor’s of Science degree in Engineering. 8 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment (preferably Offshore Process). Experience in pipelines flow assurance with knowledge of offshore pipelines corrosion, failure mechanisms and corrosion controls. Good knowledge of industry analysis tools and software (PIPESIM, OLGA, HYSYS, PVTSIM, etc.). Competence level in accordance with the technical competence framework requirements. - Operate in a technical environment with interface to multiple internal and external stakeholders (Onshore and Offshore Operation, Engineering, Subsurface, Offshore Pipeline Operations, Pipeline Integrity Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Production Planning, etc.).
- Independently undertake multi-disciplinary tasks while providing expertise in offshore process and flow assurance to support operation surveillance, shutdown planning, pipeline pigging, and chemical management.
