Process Safety and Risk Engineer – Expatriate Role (Qatar / Dubai / Bahrain)
We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to join a specialist team working across the global energy and power sector. This expatriate opportunity, based in either Qatar, Dubai, or Bahrain, involves conducting technical surveys of major assets, providing risk improvement recommendations, and producing technical underwriting reports to support insurance placement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for engineers with strong expertise in process safety, operations, or asset integrity who are ready to apply their skills internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Survey energy and power industry assets worldwide and prepare detailed underwriting reports
- Recommend process safety improvements and best practices to strengthen risk management
- Calculate estimated maximum loss (EML) values for potential major incidents
- Work closely with client executives, brokers, and claims teams to provide technical input for insurance placement and proposals
- Contribute to technical papers and thought-leadership publications on process safety management
Requirements
Significant experience in the energy and / or power generation sectorBachelor's degree in engineering (or similar technical field)Strong communication skills, able to present to senior management and lead survey meetingsCompetence in data analysis and spreadsheet management for loss estimationHighly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines and coordinate international site visitsAdvanced technical background, including process engineering, process safety management, operations, construction project management, asset integrity, and emergency responsePreferred Qualifications
