IT technician

Job Purpose

The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth daily operations for end-users.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks to ensure optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to service issues and requests raised by users.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
• Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
• Provide technical support across the company (in person, via phone, or remotely).
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
• Perform regular system backups and data recovery processes.
• Assist in IT asset management and maintain up-to-date IT inventory.
• Support the rollout of new applications and system upgrades.
• Liaise with external vendors for IT equipment and services when required.
