Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Revenue, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following :
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging serviceReview reservation booked daily and review arrival reportMaintain accurate records of daily transactions and cash handling, which includes currency exchange and balancing a floatResponsible for various production reports and supply to each department concernedMonitoring telephone manner and general performance of reservations staff dailyMonitor and coordinate group reservations activity with the Sales DepartmentFollow up tentative bookings and update reservation statusReview no-show and cancelled reservations and processes charges according to hotel’s policyReview room blocking for long stay guest and special group requestMaintain cordial relations with commercial clientsBring to the attention Front Office Manager when the hotel availability status be changed and prepare for necessary actionResponsible for maintaining a neat and orderly position at all timesMaximize room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilitiesKnowledgeable in hotel and guest room facilities / services and ensures reservations agents are equally knowledgeableQualifications
Fluent in English language written and spokenKnowledge of Opera (PMS), office software, Revenue analysis softwareAbility to come up with unusual or innovative ideas in order to increase RevenueExcellent communication and people skillsStrong training skillsDetail oriented with a passion to provide guests with an exceptional experienceAble to facilitate increased levels of communication with other departments to maximize guest satisfactionPositive and proactive in resolving problems, reasoning and analytical abilitiesTakes initiative and works through obstacles, taking personal responsibility for resultsAdditional Information
