Overview
The Senior Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring the integrity of civil engineering works within the Facilities Management (FM) environment. This role involves managing maintenance, repair, and improvement of building structures, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and delivering projects efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Oversee civil engineering activities including structural maintenance, renovations, and repairs.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, BOQs, and project documentation.
- Manage contractors and vendors for civil works, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs for building structures.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and sustainability guidelines.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and FM teams.
- Monitor budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for civil projects.
Qualifications
Education : BSc degree in Civil Engineering.Certification : Certified Facility Manager (CFM).Experience : Minimum 5 years in a similar position within Facilities Management.Strong knowledge of building structures, construction materials, and civil maintenance practices.Familiarity with FM standards, safety regulations, and project management principles.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and other civil engineering tools.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.Key Competencies
