Pavement Engineer

Overview My client is a leading British engineering company who have recently won a long term contract to deliver an asset management framework for the Public Works Authority in Qatar. As part of this they are looking a Pavement Engineer to help develop a world class asset database including a pavement management system.

Responsibilities

Pavement design and provision of pavement technical support for roads related projects including the development of a pavement management system.

Compliance with all relevant standards.

Delivery of all specified project outcomes on time, within budget and to the required standard.

Carry out site visits and surveys, inspections and supervise sub contractors.

Prepare and check design approach, calculations, drawings and documents.

Take line manager responsibility for junior design team members.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a degree in civil engineering or a related field and will preferably be a chartered or incorporated engineer with either of the following; the Institute of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Highways and Transportation or the Institute of Structural Engineers.

Candidates will have a wealth of pavement design experience and will be familiar with all UK and international design standards.

Candidates should be experienced leading a pavement design team and will have experience of implementing a pavement management system.
