Position Title : Senior Electrical Engineer

Location : Onshore - Ras Laffan / Doha HQ, Qatar

Work Schedule : Sunday to Thursday, 8-10 hours per day

Contract Term : 3-year initial contract, possibility of extension

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Operations Expansion and Start-Up Department. The role provides electrical engineering expertise to support projects, operations, and maintenance in a technically challenging oil and gas environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering support to projects, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Interpret and work with electrical drawings such as single line diagrams and schematic diagrams.
• Understand and apply fundamentals of electrical theory including power factor, load factor, and synchronous speed calculations.
• Familiarity with IEC standards for switchgear, transformers, motors, and hazardous area equipment.
• Apply safe work practices and understand hazardous area classification and arc flash hazards.
• Support FAT / SAT activities and liaise with the Project Management Team on operational practices.
• Review scope deviation requests and assess risks or deviations from standard procedures.
