Machinist M / F

The Machinist will work with Rotor leader of the Qatar Service Center to make sure all BH standards and Organizational need are met. He / She will also be responsible for Perform machining, Rotor assembly & balancing related activities on the gas Turbine rotors / components in the organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform Turning, Drilling, Milling, Grinders, and Boring activities to required specifications
• Perform Assembly & disassembly of rotors (Gas Turbine / Compressor)
• Selection / use of right cutting / hand tools, processes, hand tools and equipment for the right task
• Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality
• Perform dimensional and visual inspections of rotors / GT related components
• Perform the visual dye penetrant inspection
• Complete required documentation with accurate information such as routers / job card, labor reporting, checklist, and inspection reports
• Understand measuring instruments, mechanical equipment and use of lifting tools
• Preventive and breakdown maintenance of machines, balancing facility and all its auxiliaries
• Maintain a clean work area and contribute towards overall housekeeping efforts and other duties as needed
• Update digital shop systems related to assigned work (Digital Work Order, Time Vouchering, Operation completion)
• Ensure the work area is compliant with HSE requirements
• Full compliance with BH Policies / Procedures
