Head of Secondary School

Job Description

An International School in Qatar that follows the British Curriculum is looking for a Head of Secondary grade levels who will be responsible for liaising with teachers in the Secondary department and curriculum development for the programs. Needs to have the ability to teach at different levels of Secondary grades. Develop lesson plans and themes in line with British curriculum objectives. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.

Meeting with teachers, counselors and administrators to resolve any possible behavioural or academic problem. Must also establish clear objectives for all lessons, and projects and attend staff meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Education from a recognized University (From the UK preferred)
• Master Degree or Leadership qualification preferred
• TEACHING LICENSE FROM OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES : UK, US, CA, AU, NZ, ZA and Scandinavian countries (due to Visa restrictions)
• Must have excellent English skills
• Must have excellent classroom management skills and be able to deal effectively with student behaviour issues

Required Experience

Monthly Salary Range

TAX FREE Monthly salary QAR 22,000 to 26,000 depending on qualifications and experience.

Housing

Furnished 1 to 2 bedroom apartment depending on family size.

Health Insurance Coverage

Medical insurance for employee and one dependent (spouse or child).

Annual Air Tickets

Return air fare for employee and one nominated dependent (can either be spouse or child).

Plus Excess Luggage allowance of 1000 QAR upon proof of receipt.

Leave

In addition to official holidays, paid leave is allocated as per academic calendar. Minimum 30 days.

Dependent School Fees

100% discount on 1 child tuition fee when attending same school as employee.

Visa & Medical Check Fees

Resident Visa fees covered by the school for employee only.

End Of Service Benefit

One month Basic Salary for each year worked as per country Labour Law.

Contract Period

Open contract period - minimum 1 year renewable.

Location

Doha - Qatar.

Paperwork Requirements

Notarized and Attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage and dependent birth certificates. You will be advised of school requirements.

Start Date

August 2025.
