This is a key role within the Wood Doha office, delivering across study, FEED, EPC, and PMC scopes of work. In this role, you will be responsible for executing offshore project work in accordance with the project execution plan, including Wood and / or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control within the man-hour, cost, and schedule targets. Responsibilities Perform conceptual, FEED, studies, and detailed analyses and design for offshore structures as per standards and specifications. Conduct preliminary sizing and structural modelling using SACS and other tools. Ensure compliance with structural specifications and international codes. Prepare detailed design calculations, sketches, and reports demonstrating compliance. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and budgets. Provide on-the-job training to junior engineers. Coordinate with other disciplines and prepare structural drawings and details. Verify designs through checks and assist with inter-discipline reviews. Estimate structural weights and support project documentation. Adhere to health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures. Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs), specifications, subcontract documents, and technical bid evaluations. Review client and vendor data for structural implications. Check designs for operational, constructability, and maintainability aspects. Participate in site visits, surveys, and discussions with stakeholders. QUALIFICATIONS What makes you remarkable? Experience : Bachelor's or master's degree in Structural or Offshore Marine Engineering. 8-12 years of experience in Oil and Gas with a major contractor or consultant. Registered as a Grade B Engineer in Qatar; if not, must be a Chartered Engineer. Proven core structural engineering skills, especially in offshore Oil & Gas. Experience across project phases, including greenfield and brownfield, onshore and offshore, from Pre-FEED to EPC. Self-motivated, proactive, with good communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Knowledge of design techniques, standards, codes, and guidelines.
