Inside / Outside Cable Plant Technician

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for an Inside / Outside Cable Technician. This position will be located in Qatar and will be an onsite position.

Responsibilities

The contractor shall :

• Provide I / O cable plant support.
• Perform day-to-day technical operations of the I / O infrastructure.
• Install, test, remove and perform OM&S of aerial, underground and buried multi-purpose communications cable (copper, coaxial, fiber optic).
• Operate heavy equipment (e.g., cable reel trucks, trenchers, backhoes, chiselers, bobcat, 20k all-terrain forklift).
• Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), AF Office of Safety and Health (AFOSH) (AFI 91-202), and TO-site specific local policies and procedures.

Equipment and Software

Qualifications

High School with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience). Clearance Required : Secret.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
