About the Role We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Planning / Scheduling Engineer to join our Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team in Doha, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project schedules for road maintenance and improvement projects across the region.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning and scheduling software
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to gather and analyse project data
Monitor project progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance
Identify potential delays or conflicts and propose solutions to keep projects on track
Prepare and present regular status reports to stakeholders and management
Assist in resource allocation and optimisation across multiple projects
Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely completion of road maintenance activities
Analyse historical data to improve future planning and scheduling processes
Stay up‑to‑date with local road regulations and standards in Qatar
Contribute to the development of long‑term maintenance strategies for road infrastructure
What do we need from you
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
5 years of experience in road operations and maintenance planning
Proficiency in project management and scheduling software, particularly Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
Strong knowledge of road construction and maintenance processes
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of local road regulations and standards in Qatar is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
