Performing routine antenatal checks and identifying any risks to the mother or infant Monitoring and administering medication injections and intravenous infusions during labour Perform assessments and examinations collect samples for laboratory testing and order or administer medications Monitor patients for any issues of concern make referrals to specialists or other medical practitioners and arrange for hospital care if needed Provide assistance and support through the delivery process and provide care to both the patient and the infant immediately following childbirth
