Job Objective
To prepare and review project execution plans and schedules, monitor actual performance against planned targets, analyze delays, and ensure compliance with contractual terms, including applying penalties, monitoring quantities, and managing claims to guarantee project delivery within the agreed timeline and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera or MS Project).
- Monitor work progress against approved schedules and issue periodic progress reports.
- Analyze delays or deviations from the schedule and propose corrective actions.
- Review contractors’ agreements to ensure compliance with contract terms related to execution, quality, and timelines.
- Follow up on claims and variations related to projects and prepare recommendations.
- Verify and calculate quantities and monthly progress payments before approval.
- Track and apply penalties or deductions to contractors in cases of non-compliance or unjustified delays.
- Coordinate continuously with project teams, finance, and legal departments to align planning, execution, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on project status, potential risks, and mitigation plans.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent.Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and contract management within engineering or construction projects.Proficiency in planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project).Solid knowledge of contract management principles and FIDIC conditions.Strong computer skills (MS Office – advanced Excel).Strong analytical and negotiation skills.Familiarity with regulations and procedures related to project and contractor management.#J-18808-Ljbffr
