Senior Manager Mechanical Engineering (Regional Discipline Manager)

Overview

The Regional Discipline Manager - Mechanical & Metallurgy Engineering is tasked with the development of departmental plans, including business, production, and / or organizational priorities. The role requires multi-disciplinary expertise and the ability to understand the industry to achieve financial and operational objectives. The Regional Discipline Manager - Mechanical & Metallurgy Engineering manages multiple related teams in multiple office locations, sets their organizational priorities, and allocates the appropriate resources. As the Mechanical disciplines Subject Matter Expert (SME), they must be able to identify and resolve a range of complex technical, operational, and organizational problems for all of the mechanical sub-disciplines (rotating equipment, static equipment, packaged equipment). In addition to core mechanical discipline knowledge, must also be able to demonstrate a good understanding of metallurgy (materials and corrosion) engineering. The role directly impacts business results by supporting and function-specific projects, products, services, and / or technologies, and developing policies and plans.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple related teams in multiple office locations; set organizational priorities and allocate resources.
• Serve as the Mechanical disciplines Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify and resolve complex technical, operational, and organizational problems for all mechanical sub-disciplines (rotating equipment, static equipment, packaged equipment).
• Demonstrate an understanding of metallurgy (materials and corrosion) engineering within the role.
• Impact business results by supporting function-specific projects, products, services, and technologies, and by developing policies and plans.
